Eating slowly: a good move to lose weight

Concentrate thoroughly on the meal

Try to concentrate when you eat. Get away from distractions: turn off the TV and put your phone away. If you can't concentrate, admire the texture of your dish. Enjoy the taste of what you have concocted. Make sure your dining room temperature is not too cold or too hot. To accentuate your concentration on your meal time, do not lean on your dining table or on your chair.

Be careful to take only a small bite

Make sure each bite is not a large amount. This gesture slows down your eating rhythm. Pass your food through all your teeth before sending them into your stomach. Take 2 seconds to cut your food by your incisors, and 4 seconds to chew it by your canines. And have it shredded by your molars between 10 to 15 seconds.

Take 30 minutes to eat the meal

If you eat quickly, your feeling of hunger is slightly reduced. An hour after taking a meal, you feel increased hunger. So take 30 minutes or more to eat your meal. With this low speed of meal intake, your brain receives a signal indicating that you are indeed full. As a result, the urge to snack on a large amount of unnecessary snacks becomes less and less intense.

Intersperse bites with a sip of water

It goes without saying that your relatives do not recommend that you drink water during meals. Note that an abundant quantity of water taken in the middle of the meal causes less discomfort. Drink water during your meal, but with a very small amount. The ideal is to intersperse the mouthfuls with a sip of water. With this small gesture, the threshold of satiety is reached quickly.

Eating slowly is not enough to lose weight. This gesture is one of the potential factors for healthy weight loss. The practice of sports is compulsory. Adopting a healthy diet is the same.
